A pedagogical agent is an animated life-like character. These agents help guide the e-learner. The agents are portrayed through various multimedia techniques. The agents can be real people on a recording or animated computer-generated voices. No matter what their form, the primary purpose of these agents is to encourage learning. It is important that these agents use valid teaching techniques.
